Changing the Default Opening Association

First you will need to download the Default Programs Editor, a third party software.



Once it's downloaded, and the Default Programs Editor.exe is on the desktop, double click, and select the first option,  File Type Settings.



In the next Window, select Change 'Open With' Programs


Type the file extension type in the search box.


In the next window, select to Add or Delete programs associated with the file extension.


Browse through the Program Files to the program you want to associate the file type to, and select the .exe for the program.

After you select it, and  click on Save 'Open With' List it will notify you Settings Successfully Saved
