Changing Post Processors

Changing Post Processors

This solution is to show how to change post processors in existing Mastercam files.
Before switching posts, make sure the post processor supports the toolpaths used in the Mastercam file or it might not load. Also, toolpaths axis limits and retracts set within toolpaths should be reviewed if the machines kinematics are very different.

In the Toolpath Manager, go under the Machine Group Properties and select Files.

In the Machine Group Properties, under Machine - Toolpath Copy, click on the file explorer button next to Replace

In the file explorer window select the machine definition (.mcam-mmd) file for the post processor you need to load.

After the new post loads, the file description will update along with the file names below it.
