Setting Up a NetHASP

Setting Up a NetHASP

Things to know before installing the NetHASP on a server.
  • Mastercam does not support virtual servers
  • When updating the NetHASP, you cannot remote in
  • If your server stops communicating with the NetHASP, you will get a chance to save before Mastercam shuts down (note: if the computer sits for a while after loosing communication it can time out)
  • If you don't shutdown Mastercam before shutting down the computer, the license that is checked out will not be available, and you may need to stop the NetHASP service to reclaim the license.
  • The client computers need to be able to access the server or a computer on the network.
To setup a NetHASP on a server you will need to install the NHaspX, the HaspX, the Mastercam License Manager, and the Mastercam Monitor.

First Download the files attached to this, and extract the files, then run the NHaspX.exe.

When setting the NHaspX the SIM Type should be set to NetHASP, and the Mode set to Network. Even if the hasp is local to the computer, it still needs to be set to Network.
