Force Graphics Acceleration in Dual Graphic Card Computers

Force Graphics Acceleration in Dual Graphic Card Computers

Assuming you are running a Nvidia card in addition to the Intel here is what I am able to do on my box to force the use of the Nvidia card instead of the Intel Integrated Graphics card.

1. Open the Nvidia Control Panel from your system tray

2. You can change the global setting to always use the accelerated card (I have had issues with some other programs by doing this though, specifically webex software.)

3. Or you can select a specific program and the card for that should run it. This is my preferred method.

4. You will need to reboot your computer and let the settings take effect.
