A "post" in Mastercam is made up of 3 main files: the Machine Definition, the Control Definition, and a PST file. Custom posts also include a PSB encrypted file and a DAT post license.

To install a post into Mastercam, you can simply drag and drop the MCAM-Content file into the Mastercam graphics window. If it is a new post, a message will pop up indicating the files have been extracted successfully. If you are installing updated files, you'll be given the option to backup, replace, or skip each file.

Once the files have been extracted, you can navigate to the machine tab and add the new post to the dropdown menu. Click on the type of machine, then "Manage List". Choose the new post from the listing and use the add/remove buttons to customize the dropdown with the machines you are programming.
