Associating Files to open with X7
In Windows 7, Microsoft has changed the way the default programs function works. Previosly, Windows would look at the specific program executable filepath and use that. In Windows 7, Windows now looks directly at the executable file (.exe) for the default program.
The issue is that Mastercam X6 and X7 use the same executable file name (Mastercam.exe), so we are no longer able to set Mastercam X7 as the default opener for specific file types.
The attached zip file has a simple program that will allow us to assiocate files to open with X7, as well as a brief video on how to use the software.
